About Doug Markley
The Markley Band was formed in 1978. They have performed Doug's original music in hundreds of clubs and concerts over the last 28 years throughout the United States. Doug started playing lap steel guitar at the age of 7. He recorded 4 spiritual albums with the Joe Clemmer Band, a local music store owner in the Philadelphia suburbs. He formed the band “Elysian Fields” in high school. Then joined the rock band “Cagney” from Blackwood, New Jersey.
