Apollónia Kovács
About Apollónia Kovács
Hungarian performer, folk singer, actress. She studied acting at the Béla Józsa Athenaeum in Cluj. From 1946 to 1948 she acted at a private theater in Aiud. In 1946 she joined the State Theater of Oradea and acted there until 1961. She migrated to Hungary that same year and lived in Budapest. Aside from singing she also collected Hungarian gypsy songs, even translated certain ones into Hungarian. She died in 2012.
