Matangi String Quartet

Young, passionate, versatile, challenging – these are some of the words that critics have used to characterize the Dutch Matangi String Quartet. Founded in 1999, the members of the Matangi Quartet concentrate fully on playing music for string quartet, giving it their undivided and unreserved love and attention. Their passion for this particular way of music making hasn’t gone unnoticed. They received rewards such as the Kersjes van de Groenekan award and the Chamber music award of Almere.
