Jung Jae Young (born May 2, 1978), better known by her stage name J.ae (formerly J), is a South Korean pop singer. A Korean-American, she was discovered in a beauty pageant for Koreans in Washington. That allowed her to travel to Korea to become a singer, with her first album Gold/Blue coming out in 1998. It wasn't until her second album In Love, though, that she achieved great success, with her single "어제처럼" (Like Yesterday) going to #1 on the various Korean TV network charts.
