About VST & Company
VST & Company was a Filipino disco/funk/pop band formed in Manila in 1978. Spearheaded by Tito Sotto (a Vicor Records A&R executive) as a studio project, the group’s early lineup included Tito’s brother Val Sotto on guitar and singer Spanky Rigor (with session players). Vic Sotto (Tito’s younger brother) joined soon after as the group’s frontman late that year. (In fact, the acronym “VST” came from the initials of Vic, Spanky and Tito.
