About Tejendra Majumdar
Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar (born 17 May 1961) is an Indian sarod player and pupil of Bahadur Khan. Majumdar is one of the most popular and celebrated modern sarod players.
In January 2025, he was honored with the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award, by the Government of India.
He also performed Sarod along with the Tabla Maestro Tanmoy Bose at the Ganga Manch, Kalagram MahaKumbh Festival on 19 February 2025, along with Pt.Akhilesh Gundecha on the Pakhawaj and Vidwan KG Prasad on the Ghatam.
