Lawliet was born from the ashes of Smackhead (metalcore band) plus the addition of Luis Lopez on bass, replacing Raymond Recio, in February 2011. Smackhead separated in March 2010 due to internal problems as each member of the group was moving to different points of the Spanish geography.
