Vanessa Lann

Vanessa Lann (born april 6, 1968 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American composer, who currently lives in The Netherlands. Vanessa Lann studied composition and theory with Ruth Schonthal at the Westchester Conservatory of Music. In 1986 she continued her studies at Harvard, where her teachers were Earl Kim, Leon Kirchner and Peter Lieberson. She graduaded summa cum laude. In 1990 she received the John Knowles Paine Travelling Fellowship with which
