About Lost

Lost is a song by American rock band Linkin Park. Lost was originally finished for the band's second studio album, Meteora, being mixed and mastered for inclusion, but ultimately cut in favor of a song with similar structure and tone, Numb. Lost was known for years within the Linkin Park fan community as "Thoughts That Take Away My Pride". On The Making of Meteora DVD, fans noticed a five second clip of Chester singing "thoughts that take away my pride, trapped in places deep inside" over an instrumental. .

Lost Lyrics

[00:21.76] Just a scar somewhere down inside of me
[00:29.01] Something I can not repair
[00:33.79] Even though it will always be
[00:38.37] I pretend it isn't there (this is how I feel)
[00:43.19] I'm trapped in yesterday (just a memory)
[00:47.81] Where the pain is all I know (this is all I know)
[00:52.30] And I'll never break away (can't break free)
[00:57.02] 'Cause when I'm alone
[00:59.29] I'm lost in these memories
[01:04.16] Living behind my own illusion
[01:08.62] Lost all my dignity
[01:13.04] Living inside my own confusion
[01:21.15] But I'm tired, I will always be afraid
[01:28.30] Of the damage I've received
[01:33.01] Broken promises they made
[01:37.54] And how blindly I believed (this is all I know)
[01:42.30] And I'll never break away (can't break free)
[01:46.94] 'Cause when I'm alone
[01:49.22] I'm lost in these memories
[01:54.37] Living behind my own illusion
[01:58.71] Lost all my dignity
[02:03.53] Living inside my own confusion
[02:10.42] I try to keep this pain inside, but I will never be alright
[02:19.14] I try to keep this pain inside, but I will never be alright
[02:28.31] (I'm lost) I try to keep this pain inside, but I will never be alright
[02:37.34] (I'm lost) I try to keep this pain inside, but I will never be alright
[02:46.78] I'm lost in these memories
[02:51.30] Living behind my own illusion
[02:55.88] Lost all my dignity
[03:00.68] Living inside my own confusion
[03:07.90]
