About Renegades

“Renegades” is the second single off their debut album VHS. The song was made explicitly for the purpose of a commercial tie-in with the 2015 Jeep Renegade. Olivier Francois, Chief Marketing Officer of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, approached Interscope Records requesting a song from an emerging band that would appeal to the millenial generation. X Ambassadors and producer Alex da Kid were already working together on a similar concept, and returned a few days later with the song as we know it. .
