“Tadow” sprouted from a jam session that Masego and FKJ were improvising in and flowered as the first single of Masego’s debut album, Lady Lady. Masego took to Twitter to reveal that the inspiration for “Tadow” comes from an episode of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Will Smith uses “Tadow” to tell Uncle Phil that he slept with Janice. It’s a combination of “Tada” (which is most often proclaimed when one finishes a task) and “Wow” (a common excitement word) .
