Paint It, Black Lyrics
[00:01.02] I see a red door
[00:07.22]
[00:17.02] And I want it painted black
[00:21.05] No colors anymore
[00:23.02] I want them to turn black
[00:26.06] I see the girls walk by
[00:29.00] Dressed in their summer clothes
[00:32.09] I have to turn my head
[00:35.05] Until my darkness goes
[00:39.08] I see a line of cars
[00:41.09] And they're all painted black
[00:45.05] With flowers and my love
[00:47.04] Both never to come back
[00:51.04] I've seen people turn their heads
[00:54.04] And quickly look away
[00:57.04] Like a newborn baby
[00:59.08] It just happens everyday
[01:03.04] I look inside myself
[01:05.01] And see my heart is black
[01:09.07] I see my red door
[01:11.02] I must have it painted black
[01:15.02] Maybe then, I'll fade away
[01:17.04] And not have to face the facts
[01:21.06] It's not easy facing up
[01:23.07] When your whole world is black
[01:27.09] No more will my green sea
[01:30.08] Go turn a deeper blue
[01:33.02] I could not foresee this thing
[01:36.02] Happening to you
[01:39.08] If I look hard enough
[01:42.08] Into the setting sun
[01:46.00] My love will laugh with me
[01:48.00] Before the morning comes
[01:52.06] I see a red door
[01:54.03] And I want it painted black
[01:58.06] No colors anymore
[02:00.02] I want them to turn black
[02:03.05] I see the girls walk by
[02:07.05] Dressed in their summer clothes
[02:10.08] I have to turn my head
[02:12.07] Until my darkness goes
[02:16.28]
[02:36.06] I wanna see it painted
[02:41.07] Painted black
[02:42.06] Black as night
[02:43.02] Black as coal
[02:45.01] I wanna see the sun
[02:47.05] Blotted out from the sky
[02:50.04] I wanna see it painted, painted, painted
[02:54.08] Painted black, yeah
[02:56.04]
[00:07.22]
[00:17.02] And I want it painted black
