“WHAT THE HELL” was first teased in an Instagram post on March 29, 2022 and was played at multiple live shows. It was teased as a potential single, and even available to presave in May 2022. The song’s release has likely been delayed due to Cooper’s unexpected death in June 2022. In February 2023, jxdn confirmed What The Hell has made the tracklist for the next album during an Instagram Live session. The aforementioned “next album” ended up being delayed and retitled .
