My Purpose

[00:05.35] I think that I'm findin' my purpose
[00:06.94] I think that everyday, as a man I grow
[00:09.60] Um, I know I'm definitely a family man

[00:14.41] Um, and maybe that is what it is, is to
[00:18.07] To share that light into hip hop
[00:20.13] Because we don't get down to a lot of hip hop, you know
[00:22.28] We don't get a lot of people expressing their love and their beliefs
[00:26.31] And their passions for the simple things in life, you know
[00:29.94] Like family and being a good dude or doing the right thing
[00:34.32] So, you know I think it's coming back but
[00:37.22] I think that we've drifted away from, um
[00:41.06] I guess the true elements or meanings of hip hop
[00:44.36] You know what I mean?
[00:46.45] I think that's what's really carried us away from that a little bit
[00:50.31] But I think it's coming... We have a lot of artists who still do
[00:54.07] I don't want to say that all hip hop is bad or doesn't have a message
[00:57.42] 'Cause I think there's a lot who do
[00:59.49] But I, um, I don't know where we really lost it
[01:02.93] But you know, people seem to only want to have fun and turn up
[01:07.02] There's very few thinkers in the world, now
[01:09.77] You know everybody wants it spoon-fed
[01:11.90] Nobody wants to... if it isn't, you know, directly in their face
[01:15.60] They kinda don't want to search for it
[01:18.11] Or to really find the understanding of something
[01:21.23] And that's what I'm tryin' to bring back into the music
