Suffering!

The night the sun died, I felt my blood run cold.
No longer touched by its warm embrace.
Though the wolf still howls at the moon,
And with each breath I choke again.

Under a starless sky I sit alone,
Thoughts visit memories of a stranger to long ago.

Although this feeling never dies,
I think back to all those time, when I was more.
When I was more, much more than this.
And as this feeling slowly dies,
I begin to realize, I'm so much more.
I'm so much more

Just like a withering rose, this slowly dies
A life that's drowning in a sea of suffering.
In this nightmarish world a broken man lies,
And prays to escape the 8th circle of hell.

And if you, could see in some dead blackened dream,
The man I was.

Though the beast that I've become is more than I ever was.

Although this feeling never dies,

And yet every time, it feels like the first and I question why
