“You’re Dead” is a folksy jam with some ominous lyrics to open pop singer Norma Tanega’s debut album "Walkin' My Cat Named Dog", named after her one-hit wonder single. The song was re-popularized nearly fifty years later thanks to its use in the opening of the 2014 New Zealand mockumentary film "What We Do in the Shadows", directed by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi. It’s also the main theme song of "What We Do in the Shadows", an American comedy horror television series based on the 2014 film that premiered on March 27 .
