“DIET_” marks the introduction to the side B! of UNLOCKED. The laid-back song is one of the few on the project featuring a classic song structure, with 2 verses and an aggressive chorus rapped by Curry. The animated world of the music video pays tribute to 2001 cartoon series Samurai Jack, with an aesthetic heavily inspired by the drawings (notably the minimalist scenery) of Genndy Tartakovsky, the creator of the animated series. Denzel paying homage to this particular cartoon is not a surprise .
