About Minnesota
Although Samia lives in New York, she spent several weeks in Minnesota finishing "The Baby" in late 2019/early 2020. During this time, she worked with Caleb Hinz, Jake Luppen, and Nathan Stocker, writing and recording several tracks in the process. At the time of the album’s release, Samia had not made any statements about her relationship status, although her lyrics in several tracks hint that she was writing about one. Upon the album’s release, Samia told FLOOD: "Realizing I’d just bought a plane ticket to Minnesota." .
