Insomnia

I curse the light as I pray for the darkness
And cursed be the light as I pray
I close my eyes the curtains drawn
Still I see the burning sun
It should be night but sleep won't come,
Deeling tired but far from gone

On the edge of consciousness it's hard to see what's real
All my thoughts are such a mess
They cut so deep and the wound won't heal

Lost my sense of time want to trade the day for night
How I wish for a sign or a shadow to obscure the light

Night came finally I lay down to rest
Slowly I close my eyes sleep will come at last
In Morpheus' arms I will stay deep in the land of dreams
