[01:12.35] The cop got scared, the kid, he starts to figure

[01:16.74] So he cold dashed and ran around the block
[01:19.11] Cop radioes it to another lady cop
[01:21.67] He ran by a tree, there he saw this sista
[01:23.79] A shot for the head, he shot back, but he missed her
[01:26.49] Looked around good and from expectations
[01:28.59] So he decided he'd head for the subway stations
[01:30.82] But she was coming and he made a left
[01:33.13] He was runnin' top speed 'till he was outta breath
[01:35.48] Knocked an old man down and swore he killed him (sorry)
[01:38.15] Then he made his move to an abandoned building
[01:40.44] Ran up the stairs up to the top floor
[01:42.80] Opened up the door there, guess who he saw?
[01:45.19] Dave the dope fiend shootin' dope
[01:47.22] Who don't know the meaning of water nor soap
[01:49.78] He said, I need bullets, hurry up, run!
[01:51.95] The dope fiend brought back a spanking shotgun
[01:54.32] He went outside, but there was cops all over
[01:56.51] Then he dipped into a car, a stolen Nova
[01:59.12] Raced up the block doing 83
[02:01.49] Crashed into a tree near university
[02:03.77] Escaped alive though the car was battered
[02:06.15] Rat-a-tat-tatted and all the cops scattered
[02:08.54] Ran out of bullets and still had static
[02:10.81] Grabbed a pregnant lady and pulled out the automatic
[02:13.16] Pointed at her head and he said the gun was full o' lead
[02:15.00] He told the cops, back off or honey here's dead
[02:17.98] Deep in his heart he knew he was wrong
[02:19.86] So he let the lady go and he starts to run on
[02:22.48] Sirens sounded, he seemed astounded
[02:25.04] Before long the little boy got surrounded
[02:27.38] He dropped the gun, so went the glory
[02:29.42] And this is the way I have to end this story
[02:31.55] He was only seventeen, in a madman's dream
[02:34.17] The cops shot the kid, I still hear him scream
[02:36.51] This ain't funny, so don't ya dare laugh
