Would? by Alice In Chains

About Would?

"Would?" is a song by American rock band Alice in Chains, written by guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell as a tribute to his friend Andrew Wood, lead vocalist of Mother Love Bone, who died in 1990. Cantrell sings the verses of the song, while Layne Staley sings the chorus. The song first appeared on the soundtrack to the 1992 film Singles—where the members of Alice in Chains make a cameo appearance—and later appeared on the band's second studio album Dirt, also released in 1992. .

Would? Lyrics

[00:30.79] Know me broken by my master
[00:40.64] Teach thee on child of love hereafter
[00:49.10] Into the flood again
[00:52.61] Same old trip it was back then
[00:58.29] So I made a big mistake
[01:01.81] Try to see it once my way
[01:08.64]
[01:27.42] Drifting body, it's sole desertion
[01:37.00] Flying not yet, quite the notion
[01:45.53] Into the flood again
[01:49.05] Same old trip it was back then
[01:54.60] So I made a big mistake
[01:58.12] Try to see it once my way
[02:05.60]
[02:22.92] Into the flood again
[02:26.16] Same old trip it was back then
[02:32.02] So I made a big mistake
[02:35.27] Try to see it once my way
[02:42.40] Am I wrong?
[02:45.79] Have I run too far to get home?
[02:51.35] Have I gone?
[02:54.88] And left you here alone?
[03:00.49] Am I wrong?
[03:03.95] Have I run too far to get home?
[03:07.53]
[03:09.54] Have I gone?
[03:12.94] And left you here alone?
[03:17.74] If I would, could you?
[03:23.72]
