"What's Up?" is a rock song written by lead singer Linda Perry for 4 Non Blondes' 1992 debut album, Bigger, Better, Faster, More!. It was released as the album's second single on March 11, 1993. The song originated well before 4 Non Blondes formed. Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins recalled sitting in a room with Linda Perry—then working as a waitress nearby—performing their original compositions to one another while both were struggling musicians in San Francisco. .
