About Trash

"Trash" is the first single from English rock band Suede's third studio album "Coming Up". Released on 29 July 1996 via Nude Records, "Trash" was the first single on which all the songs were written without guitarist Bernard Butler, since Richard Oakes had taken his place. The single is tied with "Stay Together" as the band's highest-charting single on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number three; however, it outsold the earlier single, thus making it their biggest-selling single. .

Trash Lyrics

[00:17.78] Maybe, maybe it's the clothes we wear,
[00:21.47] The tasteless bracelets and the dye in our hair,
[00:26.95] Maybe it's our kookiness,
[00:32.97] Or maybe, maybe it's our nowhere towns,
[00:36.77] Our nothing places and our cellophane sounds,
[00:42.15] Maybe it's our looseness,
[00:47.67] But we're trash, you and me,
[00:52.93] We're the litter on the breeze,
[00:57.30] We're the lovers on the streets,
[01:02.53] Just trash, me and you,
[01:06.05] It's in everything we do,
[01:12.44] It's in everything we do...
[01:19.49] Maybe, maybe it's the things we say,
[01:23.03] The words we've heard and the music we play,
[01:28.83] Maybe it's our cheapness,
[01:34.75] Or maybe, maybe it's the times we've had,
[01:38.41] The lazy days and the crazes and the fads,
[01:41.48] Maybe it's our sweetness,
[01:49.38] But we're trash, you and me,
[01:52.32] We're the litter on the breeze,
[01:59.13] We're the lovers on the street,
[02:04.43] Just trash, me and you,
[02:10.22] It's in everything we do,
[02:14.50] It's in everything we do...
[02:26.22]
