The boy next door you've known for years
Has up and made the headlines
The front page read he lost his head
There'd be nothing like this in a long time

No no now child they must be wrong
All his neighbours say

Did what he should boy

Yes they say he was everybody's friend
But now they put him away and say he just may do it again

They interviewed the folks he knew
