The last song released before his death in a drive-by shooting 4 days later, it was the fifth song by a credited artist to hit #1 posthumously since (Just Like) Starting Over by John Lennon of the Beatles with his wife Yoko Ono in 1980. Rolling Stone ranked the song as #30 on their list of 100 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs of All Time. .
