Wanting to create a smoldering, warm R&B feel, Bazzi brings in a “meeting and making new friends in the summer”-type vibe with ”I Like That”. The lyrics were inspired by a trip he took to Malibu and transformed it into “a totally arresting, full-bodied, low-key bop about living in the moment”. The music video was directed by Christian Breslauer, who has also done music videos for Lil Nas X and The Weeknd. ”…😭this is the start of a series of songs that are my absolute favorite I’ve made to date. .
