Regret Lyrics

[00:40.30] Maybe I've forgotten
[00:43.26] The name and the address
[00:47.46] Of everyone I've ever known
[00:50.83] It's nothing I regret
[00:54.54] Save it for another day
[00:58.24] It's the school exam
[01:00.32] And the kids have run away
[01:03.74]
[01:06.17] I would like a place I could call my own
[01:09.28] Have a conversation on the telephone
[01:13.30] Wake up every day that would be a start
[01:17.44] I would not complain of my wounded heart
[01:21.01] I was upset you see
[01:24.77] Almost all the time
[01:28.16] You used to be a stranger
[01:32.27] Now you are mine
[01:36.07] I wouldn't even trust you
[01:38.83] I've not got much to give
[01:42.30] We're dealing in the limits
[01:46.13] And we don't know who with
[01:49.70] You may think that I'm out of hand
[01:53.62] That I'm naive, I'll understand
[01:57.63] On this occasion, it's not true
[02:01.24] Look at me, I'm not you
[02:06.19]
[02:08.84] I would like a place I could call my own
[02:12.62] Have a conversation on the telephone
[02:16.66] Wake up every day that would be a start
[02:20.58] I would not complain of my wounded heart
[02:24.46] I was unsure of things
[02:27.69] Burning all the time
[02:31.57] You were a complete stranger
[02:35.55] Now you are mine
[02:39.35]
[03:04.78] I would like a place I could call my own
[03:08.34] Have a conversation on the telephone
[03:12.22] Wake up every day that would be a start
[03:15.52] I would not complain about my wounded heart
[03:19.83]
[03:21.98] Just wait 'til tomorrow
[03:25.87] I guess that's what they all say
[03:29.64] Just before they fall apart
[03:32.14]
