High Flying Bird Lyrics

[00:08.26] There's a high flyin' bird, flying way up in the sky
[00:16.66] And I wonder if she looks down, as she goes on by?
[00:24.73] Well, she's flying so freely in the sky
[00:31.54] Lord, look at me here
[00:35.90] I'm rooted like a tree here
[00:40.49] Got those sit-down can't cry
[00:43.04] Oh Lord, gonna die blues
[00:47.99] Now the sun it comes up and lights up the day
[00:55.73] And when he gets tired, Lord, he goes on down his way
[01:02.68] To the east and to the west he meets God every day
[01:10.32] Lord, look at me here
[01:14.47] I'm rooted like a tree here
[01:19.15] Got those sit-down, can't cry
[01:21.66] Oh Lord, gonna die blues
[01:26.42] Now I had a woman
[01:29.95] Lord, she lived down by the mine
[01:34.43] She ain't never seen the sun
[01:36.42] Oh Lord, never stopped crying
[01:42.34] Then one day my woman up and died
[01:48.80] Lord, she up and died now
[01:52.20] Oh Lord, she up and died now
[01:57.61] She wanted to die and the only way to fly is die, die, die
[02:04.82] Well there's a high flyin' bird, flying way up in the sky
[02:12.63] And I wonder if she looks down as she goes on by?
[02:19.69] Well, she's flying so freely in the sky, hey
[02:27.08] Lord, look at me here
[02:31.28] I'm rooted like a tree here
[02:35.66] Got those sit-down, can't cry
[02:38.30] Oh, Lord, gonna die blues
[02:43.14] Got those sit-down, can't cry
[02:46.14] Oh, Lord, gonna die blues, hey hey
