Full disclosure I'm no advocate of what they call progress
Don't it only pull you further from your purpose in the end
Me and my friends we know better
Still we find ourselves caught up in it

Why does everyone around me only ever seek distraction
Are they so afraid to face the awkward silence in their head
And you know I'd like to think that I was somehow an exception
But if I'm above it all then why do I feel so caught up in it
