Song profile "Going Underground" was not released on any of the band's six studio albums initially, although it has appeared on many compilation/re-releases since then. Going Underground Lyrics

[00:06.56] Some people might say my life is in a rut
[00:09.30] But I'm quite happy with what I got
[00:12.47] People might say that I should strive for more
[00:15.08] But I'm so happy I can't see the point
[00:17.71] Something's happening here today
[00:19.88] A show of strength with your boy's brigade and,
[00:22.70] I'm so happy and you're so kind
[00:25.35] You want more money, of course I don't mind
[00:28.14] To buy nuclear textbooks for atomic crimes
[00:30.45] And the public gets what the public wants
[00:33.27] But I want nothing this society's got
[00:35.87] I'm going underground, (Going underground)
[00:38.64] Well, let the brass bands play and feet start to pound
[00:41.27] Going underground, (Going underground)
[00:44.07] Well, let the boys all sing and the boys all shout for tomorrow
[00:49.56]
[00:52.18] Some people might get some pleasure out of hate
[00:54.93] Me, I've enough already on my plate
[00:58.33] People might need some tension to relax
[01:01.08] Me?, I'm too busy dodging between the flak
[01:03.56] What you see is what you get
[01:06.02] You've made your bed, you better lie in it
[01:08.78] You choose your leaders and place your trust
[01:11.23] As their lies wash you down and their promises rust
[01:13.66] You'll see kidney machines replaced by rockets and guns
[01:16.30] And the public wants what the public gets
[01:19.37] But I don't get what this society wants
[01:21.63] I'm going underground (Going underground)
[01:24.46] Well, let the brass bands play and feet start to pound
[01:26.96] Going underground (Going underground)
[01:28.51] So let the boys all sing and the boys all shout for tomorrow
[01:34.30] La-la-la-la
[01:35.84] La-la-la-la
[01:37.62] We talk and we talk until my head explodes
[01:40.27] I turn on the news and my body froze
[01:43.02] The braying sheep on my TV screen
[01:45.63] Make this boy shout, make this boy scream!
[01:48.14] Going underground, I'm going underground!
[01:58.84] I'm going underground, I'm going underground
[02:09.10] La-la-la-la
[02:13.79] La-la-la-la
[02:16.40] La-la-la-la
[02:18.97] La-la-la-la
[02:21.06] These braying sheep on my TV screen
[02:23.04] Make this boy shout, make this boy scream!
[02:25.55] Going underground (going underground)
[02:27.15] Well, let the brass bands play and feet start to pound
[02:30.63] Going underground (going underground)
[02:33.17] Well, let the boys all sing and let the boys all shout
[02:35.69] Going underground (going underground)
[02:38.20] Well, let the brass bands play and feet go pound, pound, pound
[02:40.95] Going underground (going underground)
[02:43.50] So let the boys all sing and let the boys all shout for tomorrow
[02:47.37]
