Time to Pretend Lyrics

[00:29.90] I'm feelin' rough, I'm feelin' raw
[00:32.59] I'm in the prime of my life
[00:39.31] Let's make some music, make some money
[00:42.03] Find some models for wives
[00:48.89] I'll move to Paris, shoot some heroin and fuck with the stars
[00:58.36] You man the island and the cocaine and the elegant cars
[01:07.69] This is our decision to live fast and die young
[01:12.57] We've got the vision, now let's have some fun
[01:26.56] Yeah, it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
[01:31.68] Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?
[01:46.10] Forget about our mothers and our friends
[01:52.31] We're fated to pretend
[01:58.62] To pretend
[02:01.92] We're fated to pretend
[02:08.19] To pretend
[02:14.55] I'll miss the playgrounds
[02:15.96] And the animals and digging up worms
[02:23.97] I'll miss the comfort of my mother
[02:26.55] And the weight of the world
[02:33.46] I'll miss my sister, miss my father
[02:36.06] Miss my dog and my home
[02:42.29] Yeah, I'll miss the boredom
[02:44.42] And the freedom and the time spent alone
[02:51.90] But there is really nothing, nothing we can do
[02:56.88] Love must be forgotten, life can always start up anew
[03:11.10] The models will have children, we'll get a divorce
[03:15.61] We'll find some more models, everything must run its course
[03:30.01] We'll choke on our vomit and that will be the end
[03:36.88] We were fated to pretend
[03:43.15] To pretend
[03:46.52] We're fated to pretend
[03:52.61] To pretend
[03:56.62] I said yeah, yeah, yeah
[04:02.14] Yeah, yeah, yeah
[04:06.84] Yeah, yeah, yeah
[04:11.81] Yeah, yeah, yeah
