[01:08.56] The kid pulled out a gun, he said, why did ya hit me?
[01:11.17] The barrel was set straight for the cop's kidney
[01:13.21] The cop got scared, the kid, he starts to figure

[01:17.65] So he cold dashed and ran around the block
[01:20.01] Cop radioes it to another lady cop
[01:22.63] He ran by a tree, there he saw this sista
[01:24.91] A shot for the head, he shot back, but he missed her
[01:27.27] Looked around good and from expectations
[01:29.39] So he decided he'd head for the subway stations
[01:31.59] But she was coming and he made a left
[01:34.19] He was runnin' top speed 'till he was outta breath
[01:36.32] Knocked an old man down and swore he killed him (sorry)
[01:39.03] Then he made his move to an abandoned building
[01:41.38] Ran up the stairs up to the top floor
[01:43.75] Opened up the door there, guess who he saw?
[01:46.14] Dave the dope fiend shootin' dope
[01:47.90] Who don't know the meaning of water nor soap
[01:50.59] He said, I need bullets, hurry up, run!
[01:52.92] The dope fiend brought back a spanking shotgun
[01:55.28] He went outside, but there was cops all over
[01:57.45] Then he dipped into a car, a stolen Nova
[02:00.02] Raced up the block doing 83
[02:02.11] Crashed into a tree near university
[02:04.62] Escaped alive though the car was battered
[02:07.09] Rat-a-tat-tatted and all the cops scattered
[02:09.37] Ran out of bullets and still had static
[02:11.85] Grabbed a pregnant lady and pulled out the automatic
[02:13.84] Pointed at her head and he said the gun was full o' lead
[02:15.81] He told the cops, back off or honey here's dead
[02:18.65] Deep in his heart he knew he was wrong
[02:20.50] So he let the lady go and he starts to run on
[02:23.48] Sirens sounded, he seemed astounded
[02:26.06] Before long the little boy got surrounded
[02:28.18] He dropped the gun, so went the glory
[02:30.14] And this is the way I have to end this story
[02:32.28] He was only seventeen, in a madman's dream
[02:34.93] The cops shot the kid, I still hear him scream
[02:37.36] This ain't funny, so don't ya dare laugh
[02:39.66] Just another case about the wrong path
