Pressing Into the Kingdom

[00:12.60] Yes I'm now His resurrected kin
[00:14.46] But the Christian race is starting so let's begin
[00:17.11] What a hectic thing I'm stepping in
[00:18.97] A plethora of men and women expect to win
[00:20.73] Trying to cross the border like a Mexican
[00:23.48] But the kingdom doors are closing let's be pressing in
[00:26.11] It's no a competition to conquer Christians
[00:27.94] We help each other get across the finish line
[00:29.72] But those who turn back get killed when they halt
[00:32.41] And turn into a pillar of salt
[00:34.36] But I thought salvation's through faith alone?
[00:37.06] Yes, but this faith is shown by those who make it home
[00:38.85] Because Christ words are clear
[00:40.61] Those who are saved endure to the end and persevere
[00:42.47] The pilgrimage is through the wilderness
[00:45.12] And I must kill my own sin and filthiness

[01:14.07] I died with Christ and rose with Him
[01:15.84] So now I have dominion over sin
[01:18.51] At first I ran great over landscapes
[01:20.37] Because I can't wait to see the Lamb's face
[01:22.11] Daily refreshed on new supplies of manna
[01:24.92] With my Sword I'm killing lies and slander
[01:27.64] I see wolves in sheep's clothes
[01:29.44] I was told that these foes are greedy and cold as Pete Rose

[01:33.95] But some of my boys were attacked and destroyed by the trap

[01:38.43] At the sight of my sin I almost lost my mind

[01:47.42] The bottom of the swamp I was swinging sword

[01:50.27] Now I feel trife and sloppy see and this life's exhausting me
[01:52.95] So I ran to a mountain of Love
[01:55.66] And dove head first in it's the fountain of blood
[01:57.40] After being renewed and cleansed
[01:59.27] I realized that it's better to run with a crew of friends
[02:01.93] Plus I realize I'm my worst enemy
[02:04.60] It's my own sinful nature that hinders me
[02:06.57] On top of solid rock I'm running again
[02:08.35] And not on soggy slop I'm shunning my sin.
[02:10.82] This is the fight of my life I sure can't afford to be slipping
[02:19.81] I then passed by the city of destruction
[02:21.65] And I seen how it's wicked and disgusting
[02:24.41] Full of wicked worldliness
[02:26.18] And images of pretty girlies hips and jiggy pearly wrist
[02:28.01] When I passed there block I was asked to stop
[02:30.76] But I had to say I'd rather not
[02:32.58] I was slapped and socked as the laughing stock
[02:35.29] But I tried to warn them, God's wrath is hot
[02:37.07] But they abused this Christian they refused to listen
[02:38.80] They wouldn't choose the good news of the crucifixion
[02:41.53] This city was full of pagans bragging
[02:44.21] And its ruler was this huge flaming dragon
[02:46.01] But this one cat asked for the Messiah
[02:47.88] So I grabbed his hand and snatched him from the fire
[02:50.60] But then this girl she stopped and gave up
[02:52.45] She loved the world more than the God of Jacob
[02:55.15] I must reset my pace for the rest of this hectic race
[02:56.95] So I shed some extra weight
[02:59.65] And kept my eyes on Christ fixed on Him
[03:01.48] So I wouldn't slip in sin and trip again
[03:05.02] But I took my eyes off Christ and tripped and stumbled
[03:06.82] Down this cliff I crumbled I ripped my bundle
[03:08.63] Plus my hand is cut my pants are stuck
[03:10.48] Now I've fallen and I can't get up
[03:12.23] I see the world's tyrant economy sponsored
[03:14.00] It was this giant pornography monster
[03:16.72] It grabbed my legs I was stabbed with pegs
[03:18.63] So I had to pray for a path to escape
[03:21.38] Just then rushed in a crew of brethren
[03:23.17] They rescued me from the poo I stepped in
[03:25.85] Forget a jar of scope a bar of soap
[03:27.89] I washed in the blood of the Lamb of God to soak
[03:29.63] I seen my weakness now my strength is crushed
[03:31.47] So Christ became my crutch, my strength, my trust
[03:34.16] Jesus is my treasure but He feels so far away in this dry desert
[03:38.75] I know I must murder my sin and endure to the end
[03:41.43] But now I'm thirsting for Him
[03:43.25] And I'm so anxious so the Spirit led me to an oasis my soul craves this
[03:46.84] I drank from joyful springs
[03:49.50] To rest from my toil to sing to the anointed King
[03:51.36] It renewed my hope in the open tomb
[03:54.07] But then I see the kingdom doors they're closing soon
[03:55.81] I must be relentless to rush to the entrance
[03:58.68] Along with brothers who trust in repentance
[04:00.45] But there's not a lot who are soldiers
[04:03.11] Who run with their cross on top of their shoulders
[04:04.93] By my road map I'm soon reminded
[04:06.71] The gate is narrow and there's a few that find it
[04:08.57] And those who do don't dilly dally in
[04:11.29] They're really rowdy men who kill and battle sin
[04:14.09] But at the last stretch the porn monster
[04:15.89] Returned to tempt me to be a hormonger
[04:18.52] So with my Sword I hacked it to pieces
[04:20.33] Because I'm way more attracted to Jesus
[04:23.08] Now I enter the gates ending this race
[04:24.86] Jesus my Hope and His Splendor awaits
[04:26.64] And though I'm pressing in detesting sin
[04:28.40] It's His blood and righteousness that gets me in
[04:31.19] I'm now ready to see His majesty
[04:32.93] It's the King of Glory! I'm screaming happily
[04:34.78] As I bask in His presence perfect in pleasure
[04:37.45] I'll worship forever with gladness and reverence
[04:40.12] Wondering what's to come, and after a ten thousand years it's as if it's just begun
