The Humility of Christ

[00:36.25] The Son was with the Spirit and Father in Glorification

[00:41.09] No need for others 'cause God is self-sufficient—filled within Himself
[00:43.25] And we can only guess the conversation
[00:45.62] but the Son agreed to rescue those the Father gave Him
[00:48.82] And even though this Lord should be worshipped
[00:51.64] He volunteered to take upon the form of a Servant
[00:53.98] The Father commanded and asked Him to come
[00:56.34] So now let's examine the fashion it was done

[01:31.20] And I'm amazed how God, infinite in wealth

[01:38.89] He died to save a violent race whose sin would bring'em hell...

[01:44.37] God became Man, penetrating into human history
[01:46.82] But He did it completely opposite than people thought He would

[02:16.16] but the Possessor of all riches chose a life of poverty

[02:24.55] He chilled with sinners and tax robbers
[02:27.14] amongst His creatures who to Him were grasshoppers
[02:29.84] He dwelt with the lower class, lower men
[02:32.20] And those known as trash were His chosen kin
[02:35.18] And the unbelieving Jews were sick of Him
[02:37.64] They said "He runs with a team of stupid fishermen
[02:40.69] And speaks to Samaritans and Barbarians"
[02:43.33] Pharisees stared at Him with harsh arrogance
[02:45.88] It's shown when the Savior took notice of beggars,
[02:48.51] healed the blind and sick and those with lowest of wages
[02:51.36] He even touched those with leprosy!
[02:53.45] which was seen as the most disgusting known infection, see
[02:56.76] Wait, are you kidding me?
[02:58.32] watch Jesus go low and wash Peter's toes what great humility!!!
[03:01.95] See the Second Person of the Trinity
[03:04.33] came down to rescue workers of iniquity
[03:07.12] Check His earthly ministry
[03:08.94] He didn't make a bed- He had no place to lay His head
[03:12.50] But He became bound to His own Law but we found no flaw
[03:15.80] was from a rugged town-so raw
[03:17.91] He slumbered and slept, hungered and wept and sweated
[03:20.62] Plunged to our depth, the sum of our debt's pathetic
[03:23.23] The humblest, yet, the humblest death—that's dreaded
[03:25.79] The Son is our rest, come under Him- get His credit.

[03:30.85] but He laid aside the full expression of His Deity
[03:33.80] and surfed the chasm, no words can fathom
[03:36.23] how God walked this earth, which is cursed from Adam
[03:39.34] He was falsely condemned by Jews and filthy pagans
[03:52.46] Now the Cross-the peak of His humiliation
[03:55.19] No discussion. Sure they'd best remove Him
[03:57.88] He got the most disgusting form of execution
[04:00.50] He who sits up on the throne and rules
[04:03.09] was kicked and stomped and spit upon by Roman fools
[04:05.86] Despised by Israel, tried by sinful souls
[04:08.64] But remained silent when struck by violent imbeciles
[04:11.49] And Jesus was able to call down legions of angels
[04:15.09] But He was too faithful
[04:16.73] Gracious and patient was Him
[04:19.10] yet He was hated and forsaken by men:
[04:21.76] Jews, they hated His soul, Judas betrayed Him for gold
[04:24.79] When it was tough, His crew was afraid, so they rolled
[04:27.37] Suckers—they merked Him, this Suffering Servant
[04:29.79] was beat up and looked like He was cut by a surgeon
[04:32.64] Slaughtered, bleeding, gushing, oozin' blood
[04:35.00] The Father pleased to crush Him whom He loved
[04:37.81] so He probably didn't even feel the crown and nails
[04:40.80] He had to suffer more than to bring down the veil
[04:43.22] Our eyes are haughty and our lies are naughty
[04:45.72] the Holy Christ bore our sins inside His body
[04:48.30] yea, His veins they burst but no one's pain was worse
[04:51.03] cause the One who made the earth became a curse!
[04:53.85] He was One with the Father's Essence
[04:56.30] But on cross the God of heaven cut off His presence
[04:59.22] And I can't share any language
[05:01.32] that can rightly describe the Christ's despair and His anguish
[05:04.65] So forever will I tell:
[05:06.42] In three hours, Christ suffered more than any sinner ever will in hell! (It is finished)
[05:10.26] He who had infinite joy and pleasure
[05:12.20] became a Man of Sorrows so we could join forever.

[05:16.45] He took a cosmic plunge, put on some lungs
[05:18.18] on the Cross He became to God a sponge
[05:20.79] to soak up His wrath
[05:22.26] so wicked wouldn't be sifted and blown into chaff
