Georgetown Lyrics

[00:00.57] Explain yourself what you mean when you say half-caste
[00:07.25] Ah listening to yu wid de keen half of my ear
[00:12.84] An when I sleep at night I close half a eye
[00:17.21] Consequently when I dream, I dream half a dream
[00:21.65] An when moon begin to glow, I half-caste human being
[00:31.00] Cast half a shadow
[00:35.28] Be afraid? Love more to make a visit than a poem
[00:37.96] Seek introductions, favors, influences
[00:40.38] No, thank you
[00:41.54] No, I thank you and again, I thank you
[00:44.88] Yeah, uh, small man cast a big shadow
[00:47.52] Ready and raggo, heart stay dodging from the arrow
[00:50.95] Skin of my teeth, late nights I was paro
[00:53.56] Sweet to the bone, to the marrow, the marshmallow
[00:56.11] Yeah, wonder why the waters so shallow
[00:58.35] The Sun was my ally, thе night was my gallows
[01:01.45] Uh, cooking up the chips in the tallow
[01:03.43] Invisibility cloak like thе hallows
[01:05.78] Black like tobacco, black like the lungs that my dad
[01:08.84] Smoked away in the days that the hate stayed narrow
[01:11.59] I'm from the age where the hate seems macro
[01:14.02] We keep a little oil in the afro, The Black Sparrow
[01:17.04] Hit the high seas, straight like Sopranos
[01:19.08] The streets still hot like Serrano, saran wrap
[01:21.95] Around the bad taps so we had to grab the hose
[01:24.53] Let the cold water flow over man's nose
[01:27.33] Yeah, I'm black like the key on the piano
[01:30.18] White like the keys on the piano, low ammo
[01:32.55] Uh, black like the key on the piano
[01:34.85] White like the key on the piano
[01:36.57] Fascinated by the pyramids, masquerading as the infamous
[01:40.32] Reminisce thirteen, back flipping and ninja kicks
[01:43.01] Was emceeing but no one getting me into this
[01:45.61] Been emceeing since I found out this shit exists
[01:48.44] This shit that fills the pain as the wisdom spits
[01:50.76] Out of the ink and drip, the feels of the wings unclipped
[01:53.42] The beats I ripped 'til I got sent a batch of my own
[01:55.82] Now I let the speakers bang out your home
[01:58.73] Uh, and let the words flow out my dome
[02:01.11] As a spoken poem, let it levitate your zone
[02:03.57] I'm the homegrown preacher, the creeper, Thai, not sativa
[02:06.82] But these days I wouldn't smoke either
[02:09.23] S-O-B-E-R, I take a breather
[02:11.23] Pink lungs, yo, I got my mind looking cleaner
[02:13.99] The deep sleeper, ayo, I came back sweeter
[02:17.16] Can't lie, I'm still afraid of grim reaper
[02:19.69] Uh, put another verse into the ether
[02:22.24] I hit the corner giving twenty pounds to Peter
[02:24.59] It's like that, key on the piano
[02:27.27] Black like the key on the piano, no ammo
[02:29.99] Ayo, I'm white like the key on the piano
[02:32.38] Black like the key on the piano, no ammo
[02:35.50] When Tchaikovsky sit down at the piano
[02:41.03] An mix a black key with a white key
[02:45.67] Is a half-caste symphony
[02:53.06]
