Staring at my phone again
Holding my breath, need to count to ten
I'm losing sight of everything I'm chasing

It's like the world is closing in
Under this blindfold I'm missing everything
Just as I think I need a change
She turns to me and says, "Oh what a day!"

Another voice, another call
I'm like a prisoner trapped inside these walls
And every one a question
Another bee sting, another lesson
Never a blessing

Engaging my defiance
Is there no warning inside the science?
Oh, to help my brain and keep me sane

I'm reminded of the magic everywhere

So tired, but I can never sleep

And my right ear's still buzzing
These telephone waves have left me hearing nothing

It's all a vicious cycle
The longest journey with no arrival
