Cathedral Lyrics

[00:14.25] Six o'clock in the morning, I feel pretty good
[00:19.34] So I dropped into the luxury of the lords
[00:24.81] Fighting dragons and crossing swords
[00:28.33] With the people against the hordes who came to conquer
[00:38.36] Seven o'clock in the morning
[00:41.75] Here it comes, I taste the warning
[00:44.25] And I'm so amazed I'm here today
[00:49.10] Seeing things so clear this way
[00:52.86] In the car and on my way to Stonehenge
[01:00.06]
[01:11.40] I'm flying in Winchester Cathedral
[01:18.19] Sunlight pouring through the break of day
[01:25.36] Stumbled through the door and into the chamber
[01:30.98] There's a lady setting flowers on a table covered lace
[01:38.07] And a cleaner in the distance finds a cobweb on her face
[01:44.92] And a feeling deep inside of me tells me this can't be the place
[01:57.60]
[02:00.42] I'm flying in Winchester Cathedral
[02:07.17] All religion has to have its day
[02:14.46] Expressions on the face of the Savior
[02:19.34] Made me say
[02:26.06] "I can't stay"
[02:33.51] Open up the gates of the church and let me out of here
[02:37.56] Too many people have lied in the name of Christ
[02:40.49] For anyone to heed the call
[02:42.36] So many people have died in the name of Christ
[02:45.15] That I can't believe it all
[02:47.33] Now I'm standing on the grave of a soldier that died in 1799
[02:52.44] And the day he died, it was a birthday
[02:54.70] And I noticed it was mine
[02:57.18] And my head didn't know just who I was
[02:59.44] And I went spinning back in time
[03:01.39] And I am high upon the altar
[03:05.83] High upon the altar, high
[03:20.65]
[03:28.88] I'm flying in Winchester Cathedral
[03:36.31] It's hard enough to drink the wine
[03:42.66] The air inside just hangs in delusion
[03:47.45] But given time
[03:54.06] I'll be fine
[04:01.42] Open up the gates of the church and let me out of here
[04:05.25] Too many people have lied in the name of Christ
[04:08.13] For anyone to heed the call
[04:09.92] Too many people have died in the name of Christ
[04:13.14] That I can't believe it all
[04:14.90] And now I'm standing on the grave of a soldier that died in 1799
[04:20.20] And the day he died, it was a birthday
[04:22.41] And I noticed it was mine
[04:24.72] And my head didn't know just who I was
[04:27.13] And I went spinning back in time
[04:29.09] And I am high upon the altar
[04:33.68] High upon the altar, high
[04:47.26]
