WHAT DEV MEANT TO SAY - poem

[00:01.76] I don't write for you
[00:02.82] I write for what my soul can no longer hold
[00:04.98] And humans are a little bit narcissistic
[00:06.62] So before you switch to the next track
[00:08.19] I don't mean for that to sound like I'm bitin' you in the back, rah
[00:11.23] Or like feelings are somethin' that I lack, no, in fact
[00:14.02] Feelings are somethin' that I have in surplus
[00:16.58] So much so that I've gotta have a way
[00:18.80] To free the voices among us
[00:20.50] So I write, and I write, and I write
[00:24.12] And I write in surplus
[00:25.92] These intrusions can't also be distortions
[00:28.62] Havin' these conversations on a page is a must
[00:31.30] And they kind of sound pretty

[00:34.17] And so these thoughts that used to claw at each other

[00:40.81] Leanin', containin' rage but together
[00:44.07] So it kind of sounds like faith
[00:47.01] Faith sprung from a mind that spun
[00:50.53] Left spewin' sickly thoughts
[00:52.94] That have somehow been caught
[00:54.55] Wiped and turned into recreational fun
[00:59.11] Calmin' poems that used to be thoughts on the run
