The Ballad Of The Blue Cyclone (The Beginning) Lyrics

[00:01.02] Blue Cyclone, Oooh...
[00:09.17] Well my wife went out of town 'bout a year or so back
[00:10.91] And left me at home by myself to batch,
[00:13.65] And after five straight nights of TV I was ready to scream.
[00:18.18] So I called up this beer drinkin' buddy of mine
[00:19.93] And said, "Bill, I ain't havin' a real good time."
[00:22.69] He said, "Why don't we go to the wrasslin' matches and let off
[00:27.25] A little steam?"
[00:28.16] Now I'd never seen the matches before
[00:29.91] And by the time we reached that arena door,
[00:31.78] The crowd was already backed up plumb out into the street.
[00:35.37] Yeah, people were pushin' and shovin' like cattle,
[00:38.99] Just gettin' in line was a heck of a battle,
[00:40.71] We had to fight like the devil, but we finally got ring-side seats.
[00:46.10] Well, we bought a program as we passed through the door,
[00:47.92] Went to section D, seats 3 and 4
[00:50.69] And about that time, the announcer stepped into the ring.
[00:54.26] He said, "Tonight's the greatest card ever been signed,
[00:57.82] We got a tag-team match that'll blow yer mind!"
[01:00.63] Then they lowered the lights and the crowd began to scream.
[01:04.26] He introduced the Spider from parts unknown,
[01:06.90] With his trusty partner, The Blue Cyclone.
[01:08.71] They were takin' on a team that never had been beat.
[01:13.25] Then the ref checked 'em over and the rules were explained,
[01:15.00] And somebody hollered, "THE SPIDER'S GOT A CHAIN!"
[01:17.74] Then some old lady with blue hair fell right out of her seat.
[01:22.22] Well they rang the bell and all Hell broke loose,
[01:24.07] My legs was shakin' like a rubber goose
[01:26.81] I'd never seen anything like this, not even in the war!
[01:30.43] The Cyclone put the Vulture in an airplane spin
[01:34.02] Then he body slammed him, and then he did it again
[01:36.73] I swear I didn't see how that 'ol boy could take much more.
[01:40.31] It was right about then in the thick of things
[01:43.04] That my buddy Bill threw a chair in the ring
[02:03.88] And I knew we'd better be headin' for the door.
[02:07.40] 'Cause I saw the Cyclone lookin' at us
[02:10.18] And he was rubbin' his head and he's startin' to cuss
[02:12.88] And I knew if he caught us he'd break Bill's neck for sure.
[02:16.45] Well, where we parked wasn't too far
[02:20.04] And Bill ran so fast he beat me to the car,
[02:21.89] Locked the doors and wasn't about to let anyone in.
[02:26.34] And I turned around and the Cyclone was there
[02:29.01] And he said, "Hey punk, you forgot your chair!"
[02:30.89] And by the look in his eyes, I knew that this was the end.
[02:47.55] Then he body slammed me two or three times
[02:58.32] And he put his arms around me from behind
[03:01.02] Then he pile-drived me right there in the hard concrete.
[03:05.54] Broke both my arms and three of my ribs
[03:07.38] It's the closest I've ever come to being killed
[03:10.04] And that's the last thing I remember 'fore he put me to sleep
[03:13.78] Blue Cyclone,
[03:19.14] He's the meanest rascal the ring has ever known
[03:23.64] He'll make you groan, he'll make you moan,
[03:25.49] He'll lay you prone and break your bones
[03:28.19] Blue Cyclone...
[03:34.45]
